Two 1950s Brazilian "Peg Lev" Safari Chairs in Sipo & Leather by Michel Arnoult
£4,000.00Price
A set of two Brazilian "Peg-Lev" safari chairs in sipo hardwood and tan leather by French designer Michel Arnoult for Mobília Contemporânea.
This pair is comprised of the two variant Peg Lev designs: a luxurious lounge chair and a narrower, taller armchair. Made from the same materials, they perfectly complement each other .
The lounge chair bears the "Made In Brazil" stamp beneath. Both chairs have been beautifully reconditioned, retaining some signs of their vintage, as pictured.
Arriving in Brazil in the 1950s, Michel Arnoult's furniture design had a major influence upon the Brazilian modernist movement. The Peg-Lev chair is one of his most famous and successful designs.
