Two 1970s "MP-97" Lounge Chairs in Rosewood & Leather by Percival Lafer
£8,000.00Price
A wonderful pair of 1970s modernist "MP-97" chairs in leather and rosewood by Brazilian designer Percival Lafer.
Designed for a deeply relaxing sit these chairs are immediately inviting. The butterscotch-coloured leather is in very good vintage condition. The sled wood frames have beautifully contrasting deep red tones.
Fragments of the labels to the underside show they were originally imported to New York from Brazil by Brazil Industries Corp. They indicate Percival Lafer as the designer.
They have beautiful detail in the newly-made white leather webbing and rosewood keeper pegs. A statement set, they would enhance any modern interior.
