    A 1970s chandelier in brass and mirrored chrome by Italian designer Gaetano Sciolari. It bears the Sciolari label to the inside of the ceiling rose.

     

    This substantial fixture has nine bulb holders, each for up to 60 watts. It is pictured with gold-tipped LED bulbs. 

     

    It is a significant statement. Projecting space-age glamour, it would enhance any modern interior. It has some minor surface wear in keeping with vintage. It is wired for either American or European use.

     

    It can be used as a flush mount for lower ceilings, with a drop of 50cm. With the stem the drop is 80cm.

     

    Gaetano Sciolari was an Italian designer known for his Mid-Century Modern lighting fixtures. The child of an Italian lighting family that had been producing light fixtures since 1892, he began designing in the 1950s, conjuring up futuristic visions of the dawning Space Age.
