Pair of Danish 1940s Club Chairs in Leather by Fritz Hansen

A pair of vintage 1940s Danish lounge or club chairs in original cognac-coloured leather, attributed to Peter Hvidt for Fritz Hansen. 
Of compact dimensions, the sculpted forms are reminiscent of Frits Henningsen's designs. 
 
These early versions have small variations, notably in the front legs, to suggest masculine or feminine attributes.
 
There is minor patina to the leather, with some wear to the seats. No tears are in evidence. 
 
These endearingly proportioned chairs are extremely comfortable. We have included a photograph of a dining chair, to show scale.
