Danish Rosewood "Lotus" Dining Table by Dyrlund, c. 1970
A stunning, unfolding "Lotus" dining table by Danish makers Dyrlund. Made from Rio rosewood with brass trim, it dates from circa 1970.
It features ingenious extending mechanism in four parts. Each leaf opens like a petal, extending the surface from 110cm to 150cm in diameter. In its larger form it can comfortably seat up to ten.
It is in very good condition, recently re-finished with hard-wearing lacquer. The rosewood grain is rich and florid. The Dyrlund label is affixed to the underside.
