A model 232 "China" cabinet in teak by Borge Mogensen for CM Madsen.
This iconic cabinet is one of Mogensen's more famous designs. In warm teak with brass handles it sits on its original, oak plinth. Unlike some China cabinets sold in recent times, all parts are original and made in the 1960s.
The CM Madsen maker mark is stamped to the rear. The capacious maple interior consists of four smoothly-sliding drawers and two adjustable shelves. The drawers have attractive exposed dovetailed joins.
It has been carefully restored throughout. All surfaces have been fine sanded and oiled to revive the beauty of the wood.
