An elegant 1950s Danish writing desk by Svend Langkilde for Langkilde Møbler, in mahogany, brass and leather.
The angled, black leather-covered surface lifts to reveal a storage compartment. Both large drawers can be locked. An extra spare key is included.
There is brass detailing in the side handles, locks and escutcheons. The main body can be lifted from the base with the release of brass catches to the underside, in keeping with the campaign design.
It can be used standing or seated in a stool. If required we have various stools which could be purchased to complement, such as the Erik Buch design (pictured).
In good vintage condition, it has been reconditioned throughout. There is minor surface wear in places, in keeping with age.
