Danish 3-Seater Sofa Frits Henningsen Cuban Mahogany 1930s

1930s Danish 3-Seater Sofa by Frits Henningsen

A striking 3-seater sofa in Cuban mahogany and pale blue fabric by Frits Henningsen.

In competition with his teacher Kaare Klint, Henningsen was one of the outstanding Danish designers of the early 20th century. A central aim was to modernise and refine earlier 19th century designs.

This classic Henningsen design is both elegant and accommodating. It was produced circa 1930.

Re-upholstered more recently, the fabric is in good vintage condition. The sprung seats are very comfortable.

It is in excellent structural condition. There are a few minor signs of age, but they do not detract from the sensational overall impression.

Full re-upholstery can be provided in a fabric of your choice. Please contact us if this is required.
